Guitar Project FAQ
Who can apply for a guitar ? Anyone of any age or background who can demonstrate a financial need and strong desire to play guitar will be considered. We work directly with individuals & organizations.
What kind of Guitar can I apply for ? Currently we are offering beginner acoustic, electric and bass guitars. We purchase guitars with donations from our generous donors and pass them along to you. We also receive donated instruments from our supporters that we match up based on need.

A word from TunesForGood’s founder
Our Guitar project was created and inspired in large part in the memory of my late husband Fortune Petri.
Fortune was an incredibly talented musician. He died from non small cell lung cancer 6 weeks before our only child Mia was born. You can hear a clip of Fortune playing in our power of music video. The guitar in the TunesForGood logo is a sketch I created of a guitar that Fortune gave me for my birthday & I still play it often. This guitar in the logo represents Fortune & the powerful positive impact of music.
